Statement on Smart Growth

The clustering of industry, economic activity, and talented and ambitious people in cities is now the basic engine of innovation and economic growth. New Orleans' ability to grow smartly to help concentrate talented people together, enabling them to combine and recombine their ideas and effort, will be essential for increasing the region's innovation and productivity in the future.
