FUTURENOLA PROJECT

Publication

vision

The futureNOLA publication will serve as a printed and digital record of the futureNOLA project. The publication will embody the creative activity of futureNOLA into a tangible, lasting form to be shared with the greater New Orleans community as it embarks on its next 300 years.

The primary component of the futureNOLA publication will be a printed book, distributed to organizations, repositories, and individuals in New Orleans and around the world. This printed publication will document the rich continuum of submissions presented through the exhibition. It will also provide a venue to reflect on and contextualize the ideas and creativity embodied in the submissions through supplemental materials such as the briefs and narratives of the Call for Ideas, invited expert commentaries and writings, documentation of the curatorial process and events connected with Exhibition and Gala.

Digital Publication

Opportunities will be explored for the digital publication of the broader body of submissions solicited by the whyNewOrleans and international Call for Ideas, either on a short-term or long-term basis.
